Fred with his roughed-up bottle neck guitar style and gritty vocals was recorded in 1965 at his Como, Ms. home. This CD contains 11 solo cuts and 11 church songs recorded with his wife Annie Mae. It’s difficult to choose favorites, but I especially like the title cut `Good Morning Little School Girl.’ Other admirable cuts include `Drop Down Mama,’ `You Got to Move,’ `and their version of `Amazing Grace.’ The outstanding sound quality coupled with the song selection make this CD a real must for delta blues fans.”
