On Saturday Oct. 11th, Down Home Music will host a preview of the 2025 El Cerrito Free Folk Festival, The preview (from 2 to 4) will feature Ken Hayes, performing his own songs and Canadian songwriters. Also, Hali Hammer and Randy Berge, with her whimsical political satires and Randy’s swinging guitar, Down Homes Singer/songwriter John McCord, and Alan Smithline, chanelling his one-time mentor, Rev. Gary Davis, and tunes from the American songbook will entertain us. Other festival performers may join in for an afternoon of engaging and lively music.
The fest itself will be held one week later on Sunday Oct. 19th (noon to 8:00 p.m.) at the El Cerrito Community Center at 7007 Moeser Lane. And feature a full range of local folk artists.
